X Factor; Mason Noise releases new single ‘Loco’

"The bad boy of X Factor” Mason Noise is back with his debut single ‘Loco’ which was released at midnight on 24th May 2017.

The Birmingham born singer whose real name is Mason Binnell, was one of the X Factor’s most controversial contestants after slamming the show’s producers during a live broadcast, for cutting his airtime. Since coming 7th during 2015’s show, Mason Noise has gone on to independently produce a debut single and EP, inspired by his journey to date.

Mason Noise said, “I’m really excited about the single release – and what it represents for me. I come from a very rough, gang-affiliated, neighbourhood in Birmingham. I have escaped that route in life, and have been working hard on my music career, since appearing on 2015’s X Factor. Now is my chance to re-connect with those who believed in me whilst I was on the show”.

23 year old Mason has struggled with mental health and anxiety since the age of 17, and after seeking solace in his spirituality, his world was torn apart again in May 2016, when his girlfriend was tragically killed in a quad bike accident whilst on holiday in Turkey.

Mason Noise added, “The music I have been working on for the last twelve months has really helped me to deal with losing the love of my life. I will never get over not having her by my side but I enjoy writing music about the love I feel for her. Music is what makes me whole and if nothing else, I feel very fortunate to have an outlet which can take me away from my dark places.”

Whilst on the popular ITV show, Mason Noise was mentored by Radio1 DJ, Nick Grimshaw, who said "He was such a joy to work with" despite it being a bumpy ride in the beginning and described him as a "visionary". As well as impressing the show’s hosts, the singer also received praise from Nick Jonas for his cover of Jealous during his final performance. Nick Jonas Tweeted, “Big shout out to my man @itsmasonnoise for doing Jealous! Don't forget to vote! We need him in the show. #XFactor”.
